COMPARTMENTALIZING

SAIL - - Feedback - — Colleen Wray, Buffalo, MN

Here are a few storage ideas for the boat. Sometimes we buy water in 2.5 gallon disposable plastic containers. We use the empties as dividers in the cooler, with a handle to drop soda into the belowdeck storage. We also find that three wine bladders store in one compartment comfortably, minus the boxes. Speaking of wine—I pop the top off the empty bladders, fill them with water and make blocks of ice. I would rather not have any plastic on board, but try hard to repurpose.

Storage on any boat is not to be taken for granted. Reusing water jugs and creating separate compartments can make a huge difference
