Classic sailing in Maine
The 39ft Concordia yawl Phalarope, built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1952, beats to windward during a feeder race from Camden, Maine to Brooklin for the 2017 Eggemoggin Reach regatta. This year’s regatta starts on August 4 and is the place to go if you want to see the cream of the East Coast classic boat scene strut their stuff. More than 125 boats typically line up for the 15-mile race down Eggemoggin Reach, co-hosted by Rockport Marine and the Brooklin Boatyard and famed for the pre- and post-race parties.
