An­glers drift­ing baits along South Flor­ida beaches near an in­let, or in­side Gov­ern­ment Cut, Port Ever­glades or Key West Har­bor should hit pay dirt of­ten enough to make the ef­fort worth­while, even dur­ing chilly nights. The tar­pon nurs­eries in the north­ern Yu­catan Penin­sula con­tinue to hold an abun­dance of ju­ve­niles, which will re­main ac­tive and will­ingly take a va­ri­ety of flies and lures.
