Third set of remains found from Llano flood
Kimble County officials reported that a third set of remains was found Saturday night from the heavy rains Monday that transformed the Llano River into a lethal flood.
The remains were discovered around 6:20 p.m. near Yates Crossing in Junction. The family has been notified, and the Texas A&M Forest Service declined to provide further details..
Search operations had resumed Saturday morning for the two people still missing from heavy flooding of the river in Junction. Approximately 40 persons were engaged in the operations, including divers and waterrescue craft. Also on the scene were nine emergency service canine teams and all-terrain vehicles, according to a news release.
“Kimble County and the city of Junction will be using local resources to continue recovery operations,” said Randy Millican, incident commander, Kimble County Incident Response.
