Rampage lose late Friday

The San Antonio Rampage suffered their ninth regulation loss — the most in the AHL this season — falling 3-1 to the San Jose Barracuda on Friday at the SAP Center at San Jose. San Antonio is 2-9-0-0 on the season, ranking last in the AHL standings with four points. San Jose is 8-1-0-1 for 17 points. The Barracuda tallied goals by Lukas Radil at 1:03 of the second period, Evan Weinger at 8:25 of the second period and Jeffrey TruchonVie­l at 2:57 of the third period.

The Rampage netted their lone goal when Bryan Flynn, playing in his 400th profession­al game, forced a turnover in the neutral zone and sent the puck to Sammy Blais, who scored on a breakaway at 15:23 of the third period. San Jose goalie Josef Korenar stopped 22 of 23 shots, while San Antonio’s Ville Husso made 30 saves in 33 chances.

San Antonio’s California road trip continued with a match against the Stockton Heat at 8 p.m. Saturday and a clash with the Bakersfiel­d Condors at 7 p.m. Sunday.
