In this time of fear and uncertainty, be fearless

Do not be afraid. For the Class of 2020, our senior year looks a lot different than what we had anticipated and planned. While embarking on our college career, it is uncertain how that will look as well. We have been met with adversity before we even had the chance to take on the world.

There is so much uncertainty ahead; there always has been. Truth be told, we do not have all the answers. It is OK to not have all the answers, because they will come in the path that lies ahead.

We must use what we have learned from this experience — the vital tools and challenges endured, and the moments that sustain us to keep moving forward as we step into the unknown.

Do not be afraid. The Class of 2020 will be remembered for the strength and unity that students displayed through an atmosphere full of dangers. No other class has been destined and distinguished to obtain the world’s possibilities with the energy, pride and passion of the Class of 2020.

Students in this graduating class will look back on a footprint in time and remember that they were part of a historic period. We were called to step into the unknown and use what we have learned from our experiences — the good and the bad ones.

Let us celebrate the moments that we hold close to our hearts and remember the many successes and victories throughout the years. Class of 2020, remember you deserve all of the many successes that are to come. This is only the beginning. Do not be afraid.
