Outdoor terrace bar, restaurant opens on River Walk
Domingo Restaurant and Otro Bar opened Thursday in the Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk hotel at East Commerce and North St. Mary’s streets.
The 3,265-square-foot restaurant, which is billed as a “tribute to South Texas cuisine,” will be helmed by executive chef Arturo Treviño, who most recently worked for the Omni family of hotels in San Antonio.
Domingo’s dinner menu will feature takes on San Antonio and Southwest favorites such as shrimp cocktail and ceviche appetizers, tacos, a short rib quesadilla, green chile and chicken enchiladas, a Sonoranstyle crispy hot dog and more. Heartier fare includes cilantromarinated halibut, planchaseared rib-eye steak and yellow snapper pozole. Breakfast and lunch options will also be available at Domingo.
Otro Bar, occupying a sprawling 2,775-square-foot space on the hotel’s third-floor terrace, will offer guests a panoramic view of the city’s River Walk. A limited selection of appetizers, tacos and other bar nibbles will be served at Otro Bar.
Both establishments will focus on agave-based cocktails rounded out by a selection of craft beers and wine with nonalcoholic cocktail options available.
