‘Disgusted and frustrated’

- JEFF McDONALD Spurs Insider

The Spurs went into halftime Friday in Boston with a lead that had to be seen to believed.

The TD Garden scoreboard said they led 77-48 over the floundering Celtics.

The cascade of boos raining down on the home team, with 3,000 people expressing the displeasure of 30,000, only confirmed it.

For their part, the Spurs did their best to disbelieve it.

“You’ve got to treat that game like it’s zero-zero,” Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan.

Instead, the Spurs hit cruise control early, while the Celtics hit the gas and passed them at the finish line, pulling out a 143-140 overtime victory that also had to be seen to believed.
