Re: “Wolff: Abbott’s claims of abuse at shelter ‘false,’ ” Front Page, Wednesday:

Here is an amplification of a familiar saying, spoken by a high school salutatorian at a graduation ceremony several years ago:

“Remember, fellow classmates: ‘The squeaky wheel gets the grease.’ But if the wheel squeaks too badly, it will be replaced.”

Gov. Greg Abbott should bear this in mind as he “squeaks” to further his image by making false claims about the other political party’s performance in various projects.
