1. Book

“Have You Got Anything Stronger” is the sequel to actress Gabrielle Union’s bestsellin­g 2017 memoir, “We’re Going to Need More Wine.” It picks up where that one left off, discussing the birth of her daughter and the social upheaval of the last few years, but also looks back in a conversati­on with her “Bring It On” character Isis.

On sale Tuesday.

2. Art

The McNay Art Museum explores the work of and friendship between the late Beth Van Hoesen and Wayne Thiebaud in a new print exhibition. Thiebaud is one of the most prominent living American painters, known for his brightly colored paintings of pastries. The artists sometimes shared studio space and the cost of models.

3. Comedy

One of the Original Kings of Comedy, D.L. Hughley, is now as well known for his punditry as his punchlines. His latest book is “How To Survive America.”

4. Movie

The biopic “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” is based on the awardwinni­ng 2000 documentar­y about evangelist­s Jim and Tammy

Faye Bakker. Even if it adds nothing new to the story, it’s sure to provide an acting showcase for stars Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield.

Opens Friday in theaters.

5. Dance

Ballet San Antonio’s Ballet in the Park returns next weekend. Little ones 5 and older who show up at 6 p.m. can take part in a free class onstage before the performanc­e, a preview of the 2021-22 season.
