GSABA RECOGNIZES ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In a salute to a year of successes,
GSABA gives special recognition each year to a group of leaders who have been instrumental in the achievements of the Association for that year. The following awards were given out to these outstanding Association partners;
Delayna Kessler was honored with the Associate of the Year award. Kessler has been instrumental in supporting the efforts of GSABA in many capacities. For this past year, Kessler has been the leader of the Sales and Marketing Council, a group of industry professionals dedicated, in part, to the professional sales or marketing-related disciplines of new home development. Kessler is the Vice President of Builder and Realtor Relationships at Builder Boost, where she connects real estate agents and homebuilders in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas/
Fort Worth. An active member of the REALTOR® Builder Committee for the
San Antonio Board of Realtors, Kessler dedicates her time to helping agents boost their business in new home sales, continuously adding value and making key connections in the new home industry. Kessler is a graduate of St. Edward’s University in Austin where she received her BBA in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
The 2021 Associate Legend of the Year was awarded to Gary Javore of Johnson, Christopher, Javore & Cochran, Inc.
Javore was admitted to practice in the
State of Texas in 1978. He joined the firm of Johnson and Christopher in 1981 and became a principal of that firm in 1983. In 1993 Javore was elected to the Texas and San Antonio Bar Foundations. He has also been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in American Law. Javore has served on the Greater San Antonio Builders Association Board of Directors since 1993 and is the General Counsel for the Association. He was named Associate of the Year in 1994 and Associate Legend in 1996.
Javore has served as an author and lecturer on numerous occasions for the
San Antonio Bar Association, Greater
San Antonio Builders Association, the Guada-Coma Builders Association, the San Antonio Board of Realtors, the Southern Building Show and Conference, and the National Association of Home Builders, including frequently serving as an instructor for Construction Contracts and the Law for the Graduate Builders Institute.
Jeff Czar of King Fish Development is being honored with the 2021 Builder/ Developer of the Year award for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Association for the past several years. Czar is a partner with King Fish Development. King Fish specializes in residential development but also offers real estate and consulting services with a focus in the Central and South Texas markets. Before starting his own company, Czar was the Division President for Century Communities, a national top 10 publicly traded homebuilder. Prior to his time at Century Communities, Czar was the President of Armadillo Homes, which was one of the largest regional private home builders here in South Texas. Czar’s experience in the homebuilding and development industry spans over 28 years. He currently serves as the Greater San Antonio Builders Association Past President and has served on the executive board at GSABA for 5 years. Czar has served on the Board of Directors for the Montessori School of San Antonio and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Czar is married to Brandy and has two children, Juliana, and Alec. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and earned a BA degree in Economics with a minor in Business.
Scott Felder Homes took home the Association’s 2021 Distinguished Single Family Builder of the year award. Scott Felder Homes under the leadership of CEO/President, Steve Krasoff, has earned a reputation for integrity, diversity, and attention to detail. The reliability and leadership in the production of quality housing are recognized and respected by clients, Realtors and building professionals throughout Texas. Scott Felder Homes has risen through the ranks to become one of the largest producers of quality, move-up homes in Austin and San Antonio.
The Becky Oliver Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Jack Inselmann.
During his time, which includes 35 years as Regional Director for Metrostudy, San Antonio, Inselmann has gained a reputation in the Texas housing industry for thorough analysis and thoughtful insight into the many factors that affect the outlook for the local housing and real estate markets in those cities. He regularly meets and consults with home builders, lenders, private investors, and institutions concerning trends in the Texas economies and their effect on real estate values and the demand for housing in those markets. Inselmann frequently speaks to industry and professional groups interested in his unique insight into the current status of the industry and his accurate forecasts of future trends.
