Homemade Copycat McDonald’s McRib Sandwiches
Re-create the classic McDonald’s take on the McRib sandwich easily at home anytime you want.
20 ounces ground pork
1 tablespoon kosher salt 1 tablespoon coarse ground back
pepper
1⁄2 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon dried chopped onion
1⁄2 tablespoon paprika
1 sheet (approximately 2 feet) of
aluminum foil
Nonstick cooking spray
1 cup Bull’s Eye Brown Sugar &
Hickory BBQ Sauce
4 Pepperidge Farm Soft White
Hoagie Rolls with Sesame Seeds 1 cup sliced white onion
1 cup Best Maid Pickles Hamburger

Insructions: Mix pork, salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried chopped onion and paprika together in a large bowl with your hands. Divide the mixture into 4 equal servings and shape them into long ovals the approximate size of the hoagie rolls, and place them in the freezer for 45 minutes, or until
just firm to the touch but not frozen.
For the oven: Set it to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, spray a sheet of foil with nonstick cooking spray, and place the patties on top. Place the sheet on a rack set in the middle. Cook for 7 minutes.
Apply a heavy layer of barbecue sauce on top. Flip the patties, applying sauce to the other side, and cook another 7-8 minutes. Once the pork patties reach 165 degrees inside, they are done.
Remove from heat and apply an additional layer of sauce to both sides of the patty.
For the grill: Set it to 450 degrees with an indirect setting where either the hot charcoal or gas burners are only on one side of the grill.
Spray a sheet of foil with nonstick cooking spray and place the patties on top of the cool zone of the grill. Cook for 7 minutes.
Apply a heavy layer of barbecue sauce on top. Flip the patties, applying sauce to the other side, and cook another 7-8 minutes. Once the pork patties reach 165 degrees inside, they are done.
Remove from heat and apply additional layer of sauce to both sides of the patty.
To assemble: Place the patties inside hoagie rolls and top with onion slices and pickles, and serve.
