1. Classical music
Pianist Gabriela Martinez will perform a program featuring works by several contemporary composers, including Missy Mazzoli and Adam Schoenberg, as well as the likes of Heitor Villa-Lobos and Sergei Rachmaninoff, in her recital for the Tuesday Musical Club’s Artist Series.

2. Concert
Classic rock tribute bands are nothing new at Sam’s Burger Joint, but this is something else. Longtime Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre is bringing his own band to town to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of “Aqualung.” He’ll be playing the album, which includes the rock radio hits “Cross-Eyed Mary” and “Locomotive Breath, as well as the title track, in full along with more Tull favorites.

3. Movie
“Stalker,” Soviet director Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1979 science fiction movie, may be the ultimate art house film. Over the course of almost three hours, three men make a very long journey across a ruined landscape to a mysterious zone, where legend has it, wishes will be granted.

4. Performance
Arte y Pasión is collaborating with Brick at Blue Star to present “Mercuria,” a multidisciplinary work exploring the difficult choices women have to make. The piece will include dance, poetry and music performed by Tamara Adira, Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson, Randy Cordero and Genevieve Obregon. Wayne
Holtz will serve as host.

5. Streaming
“The Afterparty” views a murder mystery at a high school reunion through the eyes of eight characters, one per episode. That cast is filled with first-rate comic actors such as Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson (“Veep”) and Ilana Glazer (“Broad City”).
