Freetail Brewing Company

Freetail Brewing first opened on Black Friday, November 28, 2008, at their 1604 location. They opened a second location off of S. Presa in 2014, where they are both committed to serving the best beer in San Antonio. Given that they have been voted the Best Brewery in San Antonio in this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards, it’s clear their high standards are a priority.

While they’re passionate about beer, they genuinely love the people. Bill Sisoian, the brewery’s president, shares, “Our industry is very close-knit with so many people who are truly passionate about craft beer. Everyone at Freetail is incredibly hard-working and dedicated to putting out high-quality craft beer for everyone to enjoy.”

In February 2022, Freetail also earned two medals at the inaugural Texas Craft Brewer’s Cup. They brought home the gold for their Smoke and Chili Beer for La Muerta Imperial Stout and the bronze in Golden,

Blonde & Light Ales for Conserveza Blonde Ale. To add to their list of accomplishments, they’ve earned additional medals in the past and been voted Best Brewery in other publications.

They have made incredible traditional brews that have won nationwide awards and extremely creative brews like our upcoming new release called Puro Pina y Chamoy. We are very proud of the quality and consistency of every drop of beer we put out into the market.”

Freetail Brewing is made up of almost all San Antonio natives with a real dedication to the community above all else. Freetail donates to local institutions like the San Antonio Zoo, Remember the Alamo Foundation, and the New Braunfels Food Bank year after year.
