FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

Reagan beat Roosevelt

42-21 in a battle of top running backs. Cole Pryor led the way for the Rattlers with 199 yards and 4 TDs on 29 carries, while Brennan Carroll rushed for 256 yards and 3 TDs for Roosevelt.

Smithson Valley’s Zach Gingrich had a banner day on defense and special teams in the Rangers’ 47-10 win over Hays. He had two intercepti­ons, including a 64-yard pick six, and a blocked punt, which he recovered and returned for a 16-yard touchdown.

Jacob Rosenstiel threw for 265 yards and 3 TDs on 17-of-37 passing and rushed for 230 yards and 5 TDs in Boerne Geneva’s 70-45 win over Schertz John Paul II.

Johnson’s King Johnson had five catches for 140 yards and three touchdowns in the Jaguars’ 57-3 win over LEE.

James Peoples continued his torrid pace since returning from injury several weeks ago, rushing for 279 yards and a touchdown on 35 carries in Veterans Memorial’s 21-19 win over Kerrville Tivy.
