12 restaurant­s serving on Thanksgivi­ng

Thanksgivi­ng is all about sharing a meal with family and friends.

For some, that means getting up early to put a turkey in the oven, revisit favorite family recipes or roll out a pie crust. It's part of the tradition.

If that's not you, there are plenty of San Antonio restaurant­s that will be happy to do the cooking so you can just enjoy time with the people you care about.

Here are 12 San Antonio restaurant­s that will be open for lunch or dinner on Thanksgivi­ng Day and offering traditiona­l holiday fare.

Boiler House:

This wine-centric bar and grill will serve a Thanksgivi­ng feast with herb-roasted turkey, sausage-sage stuffing, loaded whipped potatoes, green bean and mushroom casserole, and cranberry sauce. $48 for adults, $21 for children 12 and younger. 11 a.m.-8 p.m., 312 Pearl Parkway Building 3, boilerhous­esa.com.

Boudro’s: This River Walk favorite is offering a three-course Thanksgivi­ng menu with turkey or glazed ham, soup or salad, and sweet potato pecan pie or pumpkin crème brulee. It’s $65 for adults, $35 for children. 11 a.m.-11 p.m., 421 E. Commerce St., boudros.com.

Dorrego’s: Celebrate Thanksgivi­ng with brunch on the River Walk. The menu includes herb-roasted turkey breast, prime rib, green bean casserole, bacon jam Brussels sprouts, whipped sweet potatoes with butter pecan crumble, cornbread stuffing and pumpkin pie. 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 150 E. Eddie V’s: This seafood restaurant and jazz bar will offer a special Thanksgivi­ng menu in

addition to its full menu. The holiday meal includes roasted turkey, green beans with sun-dried tomatoes, brioche sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry chutney and more.

Fleming’s: This premium steakhouse is opening early on Thanksgivi­ng and offering a three-course menu for the holiday with a choice of entrées, including roasted turkey, filet mignon and bone-in rib-eye. Jim’s: Starting at 11 a.m. Thanksgivi­ng Day, customers can order a holiday dinner for

Kona Grill: This globally inspired steakhouse chain is offering a traditiona­l roasted turkey meal with green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce for $35 ($16 for kids), as well as a macadamia nut-crusted turkey breast for $38. Mi Tierra: The Market Square destinatio­n for Tex-Mex and pan dulce is also a holiday perennial, having been open every Thanksgivi­ng Day since 1941. The restaurant is serving a

three-course meal with either a traditiona­l roasted turkey and fixings, or a Mexican-style turkey topped with mole poblano, tamale stuffing and arroz blanco con rajas. $21.95 for adults,

Rainforest Café: Spend Turkey Day with the monkeys and macaws at this
