The Pelicans have won five consecutive games against the Spurs, including a 121-106 decision in New Orleans on Dec. 1. It is the longest winning streak against the Spurs in team history.
New Orleans’ Hawkins made at least one 3-pointer in his first 21 games, setting a record for a rookie to open his NBA career. Hawkins stopped that string by going 0-for-1 in four minutes of the Pelicans’ win over Charlotte on Friday.
