Ryan Martin Coleman of Huntington Beach, CA, passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 34. Ryan was a native of San Antonio, Texas.

Ryan was an Associate Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo, where he started as a bank teller in his early twenties. He was a charming salesman who, fortunately, was also talented in managing money and earning clients’ trust. His success in his career, and his relationships with his colleagues and clients, were one of the most fulfilling parts of his life.

Ryan’s thoughts and feelings were always bigger than he was. As a child, he would stare into space while Thomas the

Tank Engine played in the background. He staged world class meltdowns at the local Albertson’s and the swimming pool. He was notorious for escape acts as a teen, prompting his parents to plant a GPS in his car. During one rainy night excursion, Ryan submerged his car in a neighborhood ditch, where his parents left it for several days with a poster reading “I’m grounded.”

Ryan balanced his defiance with intelligence, curiosity, and sensitivity. He loved music and was a gifted guitar player. He was witty and delighted in making people laugh. He was unreasonably devoted to the San Antonio Spurs. He often struggled with the weight of his unlimited potential and the expectations he set for himself. He strived to make his friends and family proud, and he wanted nothing more than to be hugged, seen, and loved.

His greatest love was his wife Kaylee, who supported him through many tough times. In close second was his rescue dog Ada, whose photos dominated more than their fair share of family text threads.

The family takes comfort in Ryan being with his grandparents, Jeanne and Horace Theobald and Marion Coleman, and his sister, Blakely Coleman. Along with Ada and Kaylee Coleman, of Huntington Beach, CA, Ryan is survived by his parents, Woodward and Susan Coleman of San Antonio, TX, his grandmother Joyce Coleman of Meridian, MS, his sisters Claire Coleman and Katie Coleman (Daniel Womack) of Austin, TX, his niece Eloise Womack (who looks just like him), and a vast network of friends and extended family who loved him dearly. Memorial services will be set at a later date.
