James Trevethan

-

In loving memory of James Alan Trevethan, who was called to be with the Lord on February 13, 2024, at the age of 62.

Jim was the ‘Cat in the Hat’, always demonstrating whimsical mischief, creating nothing but laughter and entertaining mayhem. He is survived by his supportive wife of 41 years, Kimberly Trevethan and his two sons, Zachary ‘Thing 1’ (Kaytea) and Jacob ‘Thing 2’; his grandchildren Cashel, Lucas and Alyce; his mother Ethel Trevethan; and his siblings Lori (Gilbert) and Tom (Anita); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Alexander Trevethan.

Jim began his life in Fort Carson, Colorado,

March 21, 1961 - February 13, 2024

and as an Army brat traveled across the

United States as well as overseas in Germany and Japan, finally settling in San Antonio, Texas. As an alumnus of MacArthur High School, class of

‘79, he kept in contact with many of his fellow Brahmas.

Jim loved his family and teased them constantly. He was as funny as a clown in the three-ring circus and always the life of the party.

Jim was a loving family man who enjoyed BBQ, the Dallas Cowboys, playing golf and cornhole. All those that knew Jim can attest to his love for life, appreciating his comical personality and how great a character he was. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, helping his neighbors, friends, family or even a stranger, without hesitation.

An active member of Community Bible Church (CBC), he participated in the marriage ministry counseling group and many other areas, volunteering regularly.

Jim’s Celebration of Life will be held on March 23rd at 10:30am at The Fellowship of San Antonio, 23755 Canyon Golf Rd, San Antonio TX 78258. Please join us in remembering Jim.

We will hold you in our hearts until we hold you in heaven.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Jim will truly be missed by many.
