Isabel Zsohar
Isabel Zsohar, age 73, a long-time resident of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024. She was born on January 18, 1951, in Waxahachie, Texas, to parents Elizabeth and Julius Zsohar. Isabel graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1969 and Trinity University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She taught and tutored math for many years in the Alamo Heights Independent School District.
Isabel’s parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings Elizabeth Zsohar, Julius Jr.(Janet) Zsohar, Helen Zsohar, Zoltan

(Shirley) Zsohar, Julia (Harold) Cave and Leslie (Sheri) Zsohar. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces. In addition, she had a wonderful extended family of friends in San Antonio who gave her joy throughout her life. She loved spending time at Brackenridge Park.
Isabel loved adventure bicycling and toured most of the states and provinces of North America by bicycle. She also had a true love of nature and backpacked through almost as many states as she had biked. She spent three summers working for the National

Wildlife Federation in their summer teen adventure program in North Carolina. She also built herself a cabin, one stone at a time, in the Texas Hill Country.
