Kevin Costner executive produces and stars in this gorgeous, brutal neo-Western drama series from “Hell or High Water’s” Taylor Sheridan. Costner plays widower John Dutton, proprietor of his family’s Rhode Island-sized Montana sprawl of big business, modern technology and Wild West skill sets, and father of four grown kids who may have little interest in preserving the family ranch. Invulnerab­le to outside forces for generation­s, the estate’s prime location in the shadow of Yellowston­e National Park also renders it a target for land developers, oil and logging corporatio­ns, the neighborin­g Indian reservatio­n and locals who feel that the Duttons’ interests have usurped their own progress.

‘The Expanse: Fallen World’

Syfy, 8 p.m.

Drummer (Cara Gee) and Ashford (David Strathairn) find themselves trapped with few options for survival. Anna (Elizabeth Mitchell) tends to the wounded masses as Melba (Nadine Nicole) continues to hunt down her prey. The Rocinante crew struggle to survive as Naomi (Dominique Tipper) reunites with her true family.

‘Colony: Lazarus’

Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) suspects there might be a dark side to her refugee case work. Will (Josh Holloway) helps Broussard (Tory Kittles) and Amy (Peyton List) with a Resistance operation. Snyder (Peter Jacobson) goes back to work for the IGA, while Bram (Alex Neustaedte­r) starts a new job.
