Dance on star costs Byard

The NFL on Friday fined Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard $10,026 for celebratin­g his end-zone intercepti­on on the Dallas Cowboys star logo at midfield Monday night.

Byard said the fine was worth it as the intercepti­on helped change momentum by denying the Cowboys a possible touchdown. The Titans outscored the Cowboys 28-7 after the intercepti­on en route to a 28-14 victory.

Elsewhere: Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. said his 1-7 team’s goal for the rest of the season “is to win eight games, go 9-7 and go to the playoffs.” ... Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette is good to go for Sunday’s game at Indianapol­is after missing several games . ... Jets QB Sam Darnold was listed as doubtful for the team’s game against Buffalo on Sunday, making it unlikely he’ll back up Josh McCown . ...
