Embiid, 76ers work overtime in win

PHILADELPH­IA — Joel Embiid scored 16 of his 42 points in the fourth quarter to help the Philadelph­ia 76ers beat the Charlotte Hornets 133-132 in overtime Friday night.

The Hornets fought back from a 21-point deficit and led by five with 1:18 remaining in regulation before the Sixers forced extra time.

Kemba Walker scored 19 of his 30 points in the fourth for the Hornets.

Embiid also had 18 rebounds, and hit a tying 3 with 34.4 seconds to go.

NETS 112, NUGGETS 110

Caris LeVert hit a floater in the lane with 0.3 seconds left and Brooklyn scored the last six points to win at Denver.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic had a season-high 37 points and tied his career best with 21 rebounds.

JAZZ 123, CELTICS 115

Joe Ingles had 27 points, Donovan Mitchell added 21, and Joe Crowder netted 20 as host Utah downed Boston.

Terry Rozier topped the Celtics with 22 points.

MAGIC 117, WIZARDS 108

Nikola Vucevic had 21 points and 14 rebounds and D.J. Augustin came up with big plays in the final two minutes to help Orlando win at home.

Augustin had six points, an assist and a steal after Washington cut a 25-point deficit to one at 106-105 with 2:30 remaining. Aaron Gordon added 20 points for Orlando.

Evan Fournier and rookie Mo Bamba had 15 points each, and Augustin finished with 11.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 27 points, and John Wall had 19 points and 12 assists.

After Washington pulled within one, Augustin hit a 3pointer and assisted Terrence Ross’ layup. Then, after Augustin’s steal, Fournier hit another 3-pointer for a 114-105 lead.

After taking a nine-point lead early , the Wizards were outscored 45-18 over the next 13½ minutes. Andre Drummond had 23 points and 11 rebounds, Stanley Johnson added a season-high 22 points as Detroit won at Atlanta.

The Pistons scored 74 points and led by 23 at halftime with Blake Griffin, the NBA’s fifth-leading scorer, 0 for 2 from the field.

PACERS 110, HEAT 102

Victor Oladipo scored 22 points and dished out 10 assists as the Pacers won at Miami.

The Pacers trailed 102-101 with 1:01 to play when Bojan Bogdanovic (16 points) gave Indiana the lead on a short jumper off an assist from Oladipo.

After a Miami miss, Oladipo scored to put the Pacers up 105-102 with 26 seconds to play.

Kelly Olynyk score 20 points and Hassan Whiteside added 11 points and 20 rebounds for the Heat.

KINGS 121, T-WOLVES 110

Willie Cauley-Stein led five Sacramento players in double figures in scoring with 25 points as the host Kings topped Minnesota and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns finished with 39 points and 19 rebounds.
