HORTENCIA FLORES

September 8, 1936 - November 8, 2018

Hortencia Flores went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2018, at the age of 82. She was born on September 8, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to the late George and Elisa Perez. Hortencia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed her family get togethers. She made friends easily and was loved by anyone that met her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Mike A. Flores; brothers David, Charles, Gilbert, Steven, Jesse, and Joe Perez; sister Olga Angeles; grandson Miguel Maciel; and son-in-law Domingo Maciel. Hortencia is survived by her children Rosemary Maciel, Sylvia Rodriguez (Adolfo), Henry Flores (Maria), JoAnn Carreon (Joe), and Mike P. Flores (Isabel); 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; siblings Daniel Perez, Delia Vara, Jimmy Perez; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery. Hortencia may be gone from this world, but she will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
