The completed project will also feature two high-occupancy vehicle, or HOV, lanes. That will be a first for the San Antonio area, according to department spokesperson Hernan Rozemberg.

A 17-year-old has been charged with the death of another teen who died on Sunday, four days after he was chased down and shot in the head, according to the Bexar County medical examiner’s office.

Christian Jimenez Santos, 16, was shot at about 11 a.m. Wednesday near Huron and Vermont streets.

A witness told police they saw two people chasing Santos and shortly thereafter, the witness heard a gunshot, according to a police report.

Late Monday, police charged Juan Carlos Garcia with Santos’ death. Police believe he shot Santos during an argument that allegedly involved drugs and money, according to Douglas Greene, a spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department.

Police are still looking for another suspect, but Greene said they believe Garcia was the shooter. A GoFundMe account was created for Santos’ medical expenses on Friday. According to the post, Santos was expecting a son to be born within the next month.
