TRISTAN MICHAEL GARCIA

August 24, 1997 - December 28, 2018

Tristan Michael Garcia of San Antonio, TX, went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2018.

Tristan is survived by his wife, Beverly Herrera-Garcia; parents Carla and Luis Camacho; step-father Able Balderas; father Adolph Garcia, Jr.; brother Gian; sisters Ariana and Semilla; grandparents Diane Martinez, Carlos and Eileen Zapata, Lydia and Adolph Garcia, Sr. as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 7:00pm-9:00pm and memorial service January 12, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Temple church at 14335 O’Connor Rd. 78247.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family is asking for donations to be made in Tristan’s honor to the American Cancer Society.

November 13, 1929 - January 1, 2019

Phyllis Derby Jones, age 89, died January 1, 2019. Born November 13, 1929 in Ames, Iowa, she grew up an only child in Ottawa, Canada swimming, playing tennis, and acting. She was in the very first graduating class of Carleton University, earning a degree in journalism; then working as a radio announcer. In 1953 she married Robert Jones, an Air Force officer, raising three children in many domestic and foreign lands. Phyllis had a life-long love of theater, literature, photography, a good political debate, and cats, topped only by her passionate devotion to family and friends. In 1973, she earned a Master’s degree in Psychology, and worked with energy and insight in North East ISD schools. She is survived by two daughters, Wendolyn Eudy and Victoria Jones; five grandchildren Peter, Matthew, Elena, Nika, and AJ; and six great grandchildren. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Robert, of 63 years, and her son Donovan.
