U.S. not responsible

Re: “These kids were in U.S. custody, care,” Editorial, Dec. 31:

These kids do not belong here in the first place. Their parents brought them here in violation of U.S. immigration laws. Both parent and child are thus criminals and subject to deportation.

The poor and destitute of the world don’t have a right to come here and we have no legal obligation to care for them. It’s their home country’s responsibility. Get over this self-imposed guilt for criminals violating our sovereignty. We decide who comes here and on what conditions.

I am filled with unutterable loathing for these interlopers and their benefactors.
