No. 2 Virginia rallies to win; Nebraska upsets Maryland
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kyle Guy scored 29 points, including seven 3-pointers, and No. 2 Virginia rallied to beat North Carolina State 76-56 on Thursday in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
Big man Jack Salt provided an unexpected offensive boost with a career-high 18 points for the top-seeded Cavaliers (29-2).
Virginia will play No. 12 Florida State in the semifinals. The Seminoles edged No. 16 Virginia Tech 65-63 when Terance Mann hit a wild off-balance runner with 1.8 seconds left in overtime.
Luke Maye had 19 points and nine rebounds, Coby White added 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists and No. 3 North Carolina beat Louisville 83-70.
BIG TEN
James Palmer scored 24 points and Nebraska shut down No. 21 Maryland 69-61 at Chicago.
The Cornhuskers harassed the Terrapins into 36 percent shooting. Glynn Watson Jr. added 19 points. Keyshawn Woods scored 18, Kaleb Wesson added 17 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, and Ohio State hung on to beat Indiana 7975.
Minnesota eliminated Penn State 77-72 in overtime.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC
Jeremiah Martin had 21 points as host Memphis defeated Tulane 83-68 in the first round.
Christian Vital 25 scored points and UConn held on for an 80-73 victory over South Florida. Jahmal McMurray had 27 points as Southern Methodist defeated Tulsa 74-65.

Eric Paschall had 20 points and No. 25 Villanova beat Providence 73-62 in the quarterfinals at New York.
Zach Hankins scored 22 points, including the goahead tip-in with 21 seconds left, to give Xavier a 63-61 victory. No. 23 Marquette routed St. John’s 86-54.
CONFERENCE USA
Ahmad Caver made a 3pointer with 3.3 seconds remaining to lift Old Dominion past Louisiana Tech 5756 in a quarterfinal at Frisco.
Zack Bryant had 24 points as UAB defeated UTSA 85-76. Western Kentucky beat North Texas 67-51.

Jeremy Harris scored 23 points and No. 18 Buffalo routed Akron 82-46 in the quarterfinals at Cleveland.
Eugene German scored 27 points and Dante Thorpe made two critical free throws with 4.8 seconds left as Northern Illinois upset Toledo 80-76.
Larry Austin Jr. scored 23 points as Central Michigan posted a 89-81 win over Kent State. Demajeo Wiggins had 22 points and Dylan Frye added 20 as Bowling Green moved into the semifinals by beating Ball State 99-86.

Jazz Johnson scored 20 points, Caleb Martin had 19 and No. 14 Nevada rallied to beat Boise State 77-69 in the quarterfinals at Las Vegas.
Jalen McDaniels had 25 points and 14 rebounds as San Diego State topped UNLV 63-55. Utah State outlasted New Mexico 91-83.
