Pacers stop Lakers’ road winning streak at 14 games

INDIANAPOL­IS — Domantas Sabonis scored 26 points and Malcolm Brogdon made a tiebreakin­g reverse layup with 36.4 seconds left to give the Indiana Pacers a victory and snap the Los Angeles Lakers’ 14-game road winning streak on Tuesday.

Brogdon dribbled past Dwight Howard and then used the rim to protect the ball as he made the shot.

LeBron James had 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

NETS 108, PELICANS 101 (OT)

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 31 points and visiting Brooklyn beat New Orleans in overtime on Tuesday night, extending the Pelicans’ franchisel­ong losing streak to 13.

Joe Harris scored 24 points, hitting a right-wing jumper to put Brooklyn ahead 104-98 in overtime.

JAZZ 109, MAGIC 102

Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, including eight as host Utah closed the game with a 19-5 run.

Bojan Bogdanovic scored nine of his 30 points during the late surge, and Joe Ingles had 16 points and 12 rebounds.

HORNETS 110, KINGS 102

Malik Monk scored 14 of his season-high 23 points in the fourth quarter, and host Charlotte spoiled De’Aaron Fox’s return from injury.

Fox was back on the floor after missing 17 games with left ankle sprain and led the Kings (12-15) with 19 points.

KNICKS 143, HAWKS 120

Rookie RJ Barrett scored a career-high 27 points, and host New York ran away from Trae Young and Atlanta.

Mitchell Robinson had a career-high 22 points and with 13 rebounds, and Marcus Morris scored 22.

Young scored 42 points for the Hawks, who lost their fifth straight.

CLIPPERS 120, SUNS 99

Paul George scored a game-high 24 points to lead host Los Angeles past

Phoenix.

Kawhi Leonard and Lou Williams added 20 points each for the Clippers (22-8).

Kelly Oubre Jr. led the Suns (11-17) with 19 points, while Deandre Ayton scored 18 and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Former NBA Commission­er David Stern remains in serious condition following emergency brain surgery last week.

The league said Tuesday that Stern is surrounded by his loved ones and receiving great care. The NBA says both the league and Stern’s family appreciate the support.

A Utah Jazz fan is suing for $100 million after being banned for life from the team’s arena over what were called racial taunts directed at point guard Russell Westbrook during a game.

Shane Keisel said there was nothing racial about his heckling and that the high-profile incident has cost him his job and exposed him to online threats, according to the suit filed Monday in a state court in Utah.
