Anthony a winner in return to Houston

HOUSTON — Caremlo Anthony had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Portland held on to win 117-107 on Wednesday night in his first game against the Rockets since the team parted ways with him after just 10 games last season.

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 25 points, and CJ Mccollum added 24.

The Trail Blazers led by double figures for most of the game, but a 3 by Ben Mclemore got the Rockets within five with about five minutes to go. Mccollum and Anthony then made consecutiv­e 3-pointers for Portland to make it 111-100 with four minutes left, and Houston didn't threaten again.

Russell Westbrook had a triple-double with 31 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds on a night when James Harden scored a season-low 13 points.

MAVERICKS 127, KINGS 123

Luka Doncic had 25 points, 15 rebounds and a career-high 17 assists for his Nba-leading 12th tripledoub­le as Dallas held off a late run in Sacramento.

The Mavs won their third straight despite the absence of Kristaps Porzingis, who missed his ninth consecutiv­e game.

MAGIC 119, LAKERS 118

Markelle Fultz had a triple-double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, and Aaron Gordon's 21 included a clutch 3-point play with 1:18 left as Orlando squeaked by in Los Angeles.

Lebron James had 19 points and a career-hightying 19 assists in a losing cause.

76ERS 117, NETS 106

Tobias Harris scored 34 points, including three big baskets in the final three minutes as Philadelph­ia pulled away late to win at home.

With the 76ers up 106104 with two minutes to play, Harris hit a leaning 3-pointer that rattled in just as the shot clock ran out, then added two jumpers and a pair of free throws as the 76ers finally took control.

Ben Simmons had 20 points and 11 assists for the 76ers, who improved to 19-2 at home. On the road, the 76ers are 7-14 and have lost six straight games — a slide that has caused them to fall to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

NUGGETS 100, HORNETS 86

Michael Porter Jr. had 19 points off the bench to lead six Denver players in double figures as the Nuggets overcame an injury to point guard Jamal Murray in a home victory.

Murray rolled his left ankle trying to contest a Terry Rozier 3-pointer late in the first half and appeared to land on Rozier's foot.

He didn't return.

RAPTORS 130, THUNDER 121

Norman Powell scored 23 points and Toronto held off a furious rally to win in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder cut a 30point deficit to three before Toronto closed the game on an 8-2 run.

PISTONS 116, CELTICS 103

Sekou Doumbouya scored a season-high 24 points as Detroit won at home to snap a threegame losing streak.

The Pistons shot a season-best 60.3 percent from the field.

PACERS 104 TIMBERWOLV­ES 99

Domantas Sabonis matched a season high with 29 points and added 13 rebounds and six assists for visiting Indiana.

The Pacers have won three straight.

BULLS 115, WIZARDS 106

Zach Lavine had 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as banged-up Chicago prevailed at home.

The Bulls' Thaddeus Young had 18 points and eight boards, and Tomas Satoransky scored 18 against his former team.
