Pop-up drive-in to close

Moviegoers, you have only a few days left to enjoy the popup drive-in at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Rooftop Cinema Club has announced that it will close its makeshift project after Wednesday’s screenings.

The company, which offers boutique open-air moviegoing experiences in cities like Los Angeles, New York and London, diverted its operation to driveins in the summer because of shutdowns related to the coronavirus pandemic. The San Antonio location, which opened in June, was Rooftop Cinema Club’s third drive-in in Texas.

The pop-up originally was slated to end July 5, but the Los Angeles-based company extended its stay several times. The company previously told mysa.com that it would keep screening movies as long as people here continued to show interest in them.

According to the company’s website, the drive-in at Fiesta Texas will return in summer 2021.

Here are the movies remaining on the drive-in’s schedule:

• Saturday: “Frozen II,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”

• Sunday: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” and “Eyes Wide Shut”

• Monday: “Beauty and the Beast” and “Scream”

• Tuesday: “Spider-man: Far From Home” and “Doctor Strange”

• Wednesday: “Minions” and “Dumb and Dumber”

Tickets cost $18 to $28.50, depending on the day of the week and the number of vehicle occupants. The final screening of the year, “Dumb and Dumber” at 10 p.m. Wednesday, is just $5 per vehicle.
