Reopening of the theme park especially designed for special-needs individuals but accommodating for everyone. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Morgan’s Wonderland, 5223 David Edwards Drive. $11-$17, free for special-needs individuals; tickets must be purchased online at morganswonderland.com.
Cool Crest reopens:
Spring reopening of the miniature golf course. Garage rock band Los #3 Dinners will play Friday night, and Stone Bro’s will sell wood-fired pizza. Saturday night will feature specials and giveaways from Kunstler Brewing, the Mexican food truck The Happy Gordita and music by the Infidels. 5-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday (music and food in the evening), Cool Crest Miniature Golf Course, 1402 Fredericksburg Road. “Happy trails, Herb”:
The Witte Museuem brings back Herb the triceratops for a final appearance before he heads to his new home at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum in Montana. (A favorite of museumgoers, he doesn’t fit in the new Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery, which displays dinosaurs that lived in the area now known as Texas). Visitors can sign a a goingaway card and take pictures with Herb.
