Pray Patrick’s right

My disbelief and frustration with our elected officials in Austin escalate daily. Every day we read about the growing number of wanton and merciless killings by people who have somehow acquired firearms. I don’t know if Dr. Charles Schwertner, the senator from Georgetown who is pushing for our “right” to carry without a permit, has ever treated a gunshot victim.

I hope for once that Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is right about something and there are insufficient votes in the Texas Senate to pass this dangerous legislation.
