Who can get it now?
All Texans 12 and older are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Several providers now offer the Pfizer vaccine to children ages 12 to 15. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I get help?
The city offers text alerts about opportunities for appointments with public providers — to sign up, text Vaccine or, for alerts in Spanish, Vacuna, to 55000.
VIA Metropolitan Transit offers free rides to or from an appointment at a city- or countysponsored COVID-19 vaccination site. Check Viainfo.net for the latest service updates.
These providers offer walk-in access:
Centromed: Pfizer vaccines are available for those 12 and older at Centromed’s clinic at 5439 Ray Ellison Blvd. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children and give consent. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 210-3343820 or go to www.centromed sa.com.
City: People can get vaccinated without appointments from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the Alamodome drive-thru site at 100 Montana St., Parking Lot B. Metro Health offers the Pfizer vaccine to children 12 and older — consent from a parent or legal guardian is required. Adults can register for a vaccine waitlist online in English at san antonio.gov/waitlist or in Spanish at sanantonio.gov/listade espera. Or call 311 and select option 8; or 210-207-6000 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Texas Medclinic: Offers Pfizer vaccines to adults and children 12 and older at all Texas Medclinic locations in San Antonio, Bulverde and New Braunfels. Walk-ins accepted; appointments encouraged at texasmed clinic.com. Shots offered from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.
Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
University Health: Offers Pfizer vaccines to those 12 years and older at the Robert B. Green campus, 903 W. Martin St., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Walk-ins accepted. An adult family member or guardian must accompany those under 18 and provide written consent, but proof of age isn’t required. Details at

Baptist Health System: Offers vaccines at specified hospital campuses. Appointments available on certain dates through Aug. 31 at baptist healthsystem.com/ourresponse-to-covid-19/covid19-vaccine-registra tion. The Pfizer vaccine is available to those 12 and up. Anyone younger than 18 must have parental consent.
Comal County: The Comal County Public Health Department provides COVID-19 vaccines, including to children 12 and older; residents may schedule an appointment at co. comal.tx.us or by calling 830221-1150.
