Rams acquire Broncos’ Miller for 2 draft picks

The Los Angeles Rams, making an all-out push to reach the Super Bowl, agreed to a trade Monday that sends two draft choices to the Denver Broncos for eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller.

“It’s all kind of numb,” Miller said in Denver. “It’s all kind of new. It just happened and I’m on the way to L.A.”

The Broncos will receive second- and third-round picks in next year’s draft, according to a person familiar with the deal. The Broncos will pay $9 million of the $9.7 million still due tto Miller this season.

Miller, the second pick of the 2011 draft out of Texas A&M, is in the final season of his contract and is eligible for unrestrict­ed free agency in the upcoming offseason.

Miller, 32, had 4½ sacks in seven games this season with the Broncos after missing all of last season with an ankle injury.

Saints’ Winston has torn ACL

New Orleans quarterbac­k Jameis Winston was diagnosed with torn knee ligaments that will end his season, coach Sean Payton said.

Payton confirmed the extent of the injury after an MRI showed a torn anterior cruciate ligament and damage to the medial collateral ligament in Winston’s left knee.

Winston was injured early in the second quarter against Tampa Bay on Sunday when he was pulled down from behind by linebacker Devin White, who was penalized for a horse-collar tackle.

Payton also stated he’s content to stick with the three remaining healthy QBS on the Saints’ roster: Trevor Siemian, who played the rest of Sunday’s game, Taysom Hill and rookie Ian Book.

Titans lose Henry to foot injury

NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry will have surgery Tuesday morning on his right foot, and coach Mike Vrabel says the Tennessee Titans are not putting a timeline on when he will return.

The Titans were finalizing a deal to sign 2012 MVP and four-time All-pro Adrian Peterson to the practice squad with plans to promote the 36-year-old to the active roster

Odds and ends

Baltimore linebacker Malik Harrison was shot in the left calf Sunday and suffered a non-life-threatenin­g injury, the team announced. With the Ravens off last week, the Ohio native was struck by a stray bullet while at a gathering in Cleveland. … Minnesota Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
