This prime-time soap opera returns for season four. Peacemaker HBO Max

This eight-episode series explores the origins of the character John Cena portrayed in the 2021 film “The Suicide Squad” — a compelling­ly vainglorio­us man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The first three episodes are available today.

The Journalist Netflix

This Japanese drama is an adaptation of the 2019 theatrical feature film, buzzworthy for its confrontat­ion of Japanese political crimes and scandals. Ryoko Yonekura plays Anna Matsuda, a Toto Newspaper reporter who strives to expose issues in modern Japanese society.

Wolf Like Me Peacock

Josh Gad and Isla Fisher star in this genre-bending Australian romantic comedy. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share. The universe brought these two together for a reason; they just need to follow the signs. All episodes are available today.

Flip or Flop HGTV, 7 p.m.

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack find the perfect flip in Norwalk, Calif., but to avoid blowing their budget, they’ll need to rely on their experience.

The Blacklist NBC, 7 p.m.

The death of a profession­al tennis player leads the task force to a doctor who may be fixing the odds for a major sports betting syndicate. Red ( James Spader) digs deeper into Dembe’s (Hisham Tawfiq) betrayal and Ressler (Diego Klattenhof­f ) struggles with sobriety.

TCM Spotlight: True Crime TCM, beginning at 7 p.m.

More classic films inspired by notorious real-life crimes are featured. First is “In Cold Blood” (1967), the neo-noir adaptation of Truman Capote’s nonfiction book about two men who murder a Kansas family. Robert Blake, Scott Wilson and John Forsythe star. Next is “The Boston Strangler” (1968), loosely based on serial killer Albert Desalvo, who murdered 13 women in the Boston area in the early 1960s. Tony Curtis gives a Golden Globe-nominated performanc­e as Desalvo; the cast also includes Henry Fonda and George Kennedy. The 1986 crime drama “River’s Edge” follows a group of teens forced to deal with their friend’s murder of his girlfriend in a story based on the real-life 1981 murder of Marcy Renee Conrad. Crispin Glover, Keanu Reeves, Ione Skye, Daniel Roebuck and Dennis Hopper lead the cast. Rounding out the lineup are “The Onion Field” (1979), “10 Rillington Place” (1971) and “The Strangler” (1964).

Powerhouse real estate broker and designer Egypt Sherrod and her husband, builder Mike Jackson juggle booming property businesses, please clients, manage a home and raise three daughters as they help families land a perfect home.
