Matthew Gonzalez, Marshall: senior, guard — Gonzalez recorded 39 points, six 3-pointers, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals in the Rams’ 89-68 victory against Eagle Pass.

GAME BALLS

• Boerne Champion’s Braden Baum averaged 17.2 points and 6.0 rebounds as the Chargers went 5-0 at the Harlandale tournament. Baum was named tournament MVP.

• Central Catholic’s Josh Devora averaged 19.2 points and made 14 3-pointers as the Buttons went 4-1 at the Harlandale tournament.

• Holmes’ Amare Guerra averaged 20.6 points as the Huskies went 3-2 at the North East/northside tournament. He had 31 points against San Antonio Veterans Memorial, 25 points against Sotomayor and 27 points against Churchill.

• Reagan’s Luke Price averaged 20.0 points for the Rattlers, who went 4-1 at the North East/northside tournament.
