Man, 70, killed in road rage shooting
Police arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a 70-year-old man in what San Antonio police believe was a road rage incident on the Southeast Side.
Officers dispatched for a shooting near Brooks City Base at 2:42 p.m. Saturday found the wounded man, later identified as Roberto Huron, still seated in his vehicle, along with his wife, who was not injured, police said.
The shooting appeared to have taken place on City Base Landing near its intersection with SE Military Drive. Huron was pronounced dead at Brooke Army Medical Center, according to reports.
Witnesses gave a description of the vehicle driven by the suspected gunman, which officers located in the 1700 block of SE Military. Police later arrested Donyell David Moton, 46, without incident. He was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, court records indicate.
A police spokesman said Moton told detectives that he fired because the other driver was “brake-checking” him and tried to run him off the road.
