Missing Lonnie Walker
Re: “Ex-spur enjoying second act in Hollywood,” Sports, Sunday.
What exactly were the Spurs thinking when they did not match the paltry $6.4 million for a one-year contract for Lonnie Walker?
I understand them unloading other players coming due for a potential $200 million contract for five years, but not matching this to keep a great player is questionable.
Now Walker is a starter for the Lakers, and he comes back here playing very well. He is a dunk machine. Pitiful Spurs. Who is making these decisions?
