Mariners to add Brewers’ Wong

The Seattle Mariners are close to completing a deal to acquire second baseman Kolten Wong from the Milwaukee Brewers for outfielder Jesse Winker and former Astros infielder Abraham Toro, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The person confirmed to the Associated Press an agreement was reached Friday pending a medical review.

Wong, 32, batted .251 this season and had a career-high 15 homers to go along with 47 RBIS and 17 steals in 134 games. He had a .339 on-base percentage.
