PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isaiah Fox, Antonian: sophomore, guard/forward — Fox was named MVP at the South San tournament averaging 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 4.0 assists. He had 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a 66-57 win over Warren in the final.
GAME BALLS
• Jay’s Camrin Garza averaged 25.2 points and scored 33 points against Mcallen and 30 points against Lanier at the Southwest ISD tournament.
• Marshall’s Matthew
Gonzalez hit 10 3-pointers in a 67-53 victory against Sam Houston.
• Harlan’s Jarin Hall had 25 points in a 74-66 win against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial and 22 in a 74-50 win against Victoria West.
• Reagan’s Aidan Richard averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Rattlers, who went 4-1 at the Georgetown tournament.
• Taft’s J.D. Riojas averaged 18.0 points and tallied 23 points and nine rebounds in a loss against Euless Trinity in the San
Angelo tournament championship game.
• Churchill’s Jarek Schmittou averaged 21.0 points in six games. He had 33 points against Taft in a non-district game and 34 points in a semifinal win over Dripping Springs at the Georgetown tournament.
• East Central’s Jacob Stewart averaged 26.0 points in the Hornets’ final three games of the South San tournament.
