Mass transit can be done
Re: “Proposed bus line moves region in right direction,” Another View, Friday:
I am pleased to know that San Antonio is looking at a bus system option for mass transit. Greg Phillip Griffin lays out the options clearly.
Two thoughts bear repeating. After noting various options and pointing out that 48,960 households in our metro area don’t have auto access, he states: “Tunnels to the airport and hyperloop fantasies are distractions from solutions ready today.”
Later, “Real people will benefit if the interurban bus service is implemented.”
Oh, I so agree!
We have physical resources. We have planning ability. We are a smart city even if not a financially rich one.
We can do this!
