Editorial sad, really sad

Re: “An open letter to Operation Lone Star troops,” Editorial, Nov. 29: This editorial reached a new low! The first couple paragraphs made it sound like you were applauding the troops, but then you quickly got political with comments like “most Texans … have no understanding of your work”; “What difference does it really make?”; “how much could have been done without Operation Lone Star?”; “Are you finally getting paid correctly?”; “Is the mission worthwhile?”; “makes part of America sound like a war zone”; “doesn’t seem likely” you’ll be going home soon, etc.

Sad, really sad.
