As Christmas approaches, lots of holiday favorites are on the weekend calendar. Here’s a look:

Today

Girl in a Coma: Five years after they broke up, Nina Diaz, Phanie Diaz and Jenn Alva have reunited for four shows, including two in their hometown, that they are calling Girl in a Coma’s “Final Curtain” tour. It’s been pitched as a proper finale for the revered alt-rock band, which released four albums on Jett’s Blackheart label from 2007 to 2011. 8 p.m. today and Sunday, Paper Tiger, 2410 St. Mary’s St. Both shows are sold out. “Petra’s Pecado”: Rupert Reyes’ Chicano theater classic, which is being produced by the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s theater program, follows an inexperien­ced director’s attempt to pull together a play marking the appearance of La Virgen de Guadalupe to Juan Diego as penance for a confessed sin. A reception honoring Reyes and director Rodney Garza follows the Dec. 10 matinee. “The Children’s Nutcracker”:

The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio takes a Broadway approach to the tale with a production that includes singing, dialogue and several dance styles. “Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet”: The touring production features marionette­s and other design elements created by artists from around the globe. “La Pastorela Folklórica”: The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center stages its annual take on the traditiona­l pastorela, a folk play depicting the shepherds’ journey to Bethlehem and the forces that try to distract them

“Devil at the Crossroads”: Fred Himes presents a fresh take on the story of blues musician Robert Johnson, including live music. Saturday Trans-siberian Orchestra:

Ramon Ayala: Norteño legend Ayala, known as the King of Accordion, has been a musical force since he was a teenage phenom in the ’60s with the band Los Relámpagos del Norte. With his own band,
