NOTABLE

Due to a quirk in the NBA schedule stemming from the inaugural in-season tournament, the Spurs meet the Bulls three times in a season for the first time since moving to the Western Conference in 1980-81. Chicago won the previous two meetings this season.

• Heading into Friday’s home game against Golden State, Chicago was 3-0 since Zach Lavine returned from the injured list. The All-star guard missed 17 games with a foot ailment, with the Bulls going 10-7 in that span.

• Chicago is 2-5 this season on the second night of a back-to-back, while the Spurs are 0-4. The Spurs face Friday-saturday back-to-backs in each of the next four weekends.
