San Antonio Students Invited to Apply to The Carlson Law Firm’s Scholarship
High School Students Headed to a College, Trade School or University are Eligible for $2,500
The Carlson Law Firm’s Carlson Cares Scholarship nomination period is now open through April 18, 2024.
San Antonio seniors headed to a Texas college, trade school or university are invited to apply.
This is the firm’s fourth year offering a scholarship to high school seniors in Texas.
“Each year, we’ve tried to make it bigger and better,” Managing Partner Craig Carlson said. “This year, we’re offering $2,500 to two Texas seniors.” Since its inception, Carlson has come up with a theme for the essay or video prompts that students submit. This year, the theme is “Unstoppable Force.”
“We want to know how you accomplish your goals,” Carlson said. “I recognize that today’s students deal with a tremendous number of distractions, obstacles and pressure. Anything can knock you off your path toward goals. So, it’s a crucial life skill to know how to navigate the toughest situations and come out on top to accomplish your dreams.”
How do I apply?
Applying is easy! This year’s prompt is: Tell us about something or someone that motivates you to keep pushing toward your goals. Applicants can either submit a 2-3 minute video or write a 300-500 word essay. The scholarship form allows applicants to submit their application.
“Our scholarship is not just about grades,” Carlson said. “We want to know what makes you an Unstoppable Force. There is always some motivation—whether it’s from within or an influential figure—that fuels us to achieve. We want to know about yours.”

Before hitting submit, ensure you’ve got your proof of enrollment and an unofficial transcript ready. Make sure you’re all set to take the next step in your educational journey. Further eligibility requirements include the following:
1. Must be a high school senior for the 2022-2023 school year
2. Enrolled in a Texas school
3. Must be headed to a Texas university, college or trade school for the 2023-2024 school year
4. The application must be submitted online through the scholarship form at carlsonattorneys.com/scholarship
5. Submit proof of enrollment
6. Submit an unofficial transcript
