Tucker’s record-tying 14 assists lift UTSA past Tulsa
Christian Tucker matched a UTSA and American Athletic Conference record with 14 assists, sparking a potent shooting night for the Roadrunners in an 89-73 win against Tulsa on Wednesday in the Convocation Center.
Jordan Ivy-curry led five Roadrunners in double figures, posting team highs with 20 points and seven rebounds. Chandler Cuthrell added 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range, while Dre Fuller Jr. netted 12, connecting on 3 of 4 attempts from beyond the arc. Tucker also tallied 12, and PJ Carter notched 10.
UTSA (10-19, 4-12) made 14 3-pointers and shot 42.4% from beyond the arc, while Tulsa (1414, 5-11) was just 5-of-21 (23.8%) from 3-point range.
On the heels of a seven-game slide, the Roadrunners have secured back-to-back wins for the first time since Dec. 10. Wednesday’s win was also UTSA’S first in eight matchups against Tulsa.
Tucker’s 14 assists matched the UTSA mark set by Issy Washington in 1986 as well as the AAC record posted by Kendric Davis of SMU in 2021.

Zachary Davis scored on a layup with three seconds remaining to give the Gamecocks a victory at College Station.
A&M had a chance to send it to overtime, but Wade Taylor IV tripped and lost the ball getting it past half court, sealing the South Carolina win.
Tyrece Radford led the Aggies (15-13, 6-9 SEC) with 19 points and 10
rebounds, and Taylor added 15 points.

Dalton Knecht matched his career high with 39 points, including 27 in the second half, to
lift the Volunteers to a home victory.
Tennessee (22-6, 12-3 SEC) trailed 63-55 before Knecht took over the game, scoring 11 straight points and 20 of 23.
Johni Broome had 23 points and nine rebounds
for Auburn (21-7, 10-5).

Tyler Kolek had 12 points and six assists before leaving the game with just over 15 minutes remaining with an oblique injury as the Golden Eagles routed the Friars at Milwaukee.

Kyle Filipowski was back in the starting lineup four days after sustaining a knee injury when fans stormed the court and finished with nine points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Blue Devils won at home.

Lexy Keys hit the goahead 3-pointer with 4 seconds left to help the Sooners beat the visiting Longhorns and clinch the outright Big 12 title.
Oklahoma (21-7, 15-2) now has won 12 of 13.
Madison Booker had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Longhorns (26-4, 13-4), who had won eight straight since losing at home to Oklahoma last month.

At Minneapolis, Caitlin Clark became the all-time leading women’s scorer in major college basketball by scoring 33 points to pass Lynette Woodard and post her 17th career triple-double for the Hawkeyes.
Woodard had 3,649 points for Kansas from 1977-81, before the NCAA sanctioned the sport.
MEMPHIS 60, UTSA 53
Jordyn Jenkins posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, but the Roadrunners were unable to find enough offense in a loss to the Tigers at Memphis.
UTSA (14-13, 8-8 American) shot just 34.4%, hitting 2 of 13 (15.4%) from 3-point range.

After the Bobcats matched their largest lead at seven points a minute into the fourth quarter, the Golden Eagles used a 15-0 run through a fourminute stretch to take control at Strahan Arena in San Marcos.
Jaylin Foster led Texas State (13-17, 3-14 Sun Belt) with 14 points.
