UTSA'S first winning season since 2014-15 drew to a close Sunday with an 80-64 loss to Wyoming in the second round of the WNIT in Laramie, Wyo.

Less than 72 hours after notching the program's first postseason win in San Antonio, the Roadrunners struggled to keep pace with a Cowgirls team that hadn't played since March 11, falling behind 26-8 at the end of the first quarter.

Wyoming (17-14) stretched the lead as large as 26 points before halftime and led by 20 or more through the third quarter. UTSA mounted a push in the fourth quarter, pulling within 13 with just under four minutes remaining, but the Cowgirls scored on their next three possessions to secure the win.

Wyoming hit 16 of 32 (50%) shots overall and went 8 of 16 (50%) from beyond the arc during the first half, finishing the period without a turnover. The Roadrunners were just 9 of 32 (28.1%) from the field and 0 for 6 from 3-point range through the first two quarters.

Jordyn Jenkins led UTSA with 28 points on 11of-20 shooting in 29 minutes, including 18 of the Roadrunners' 21 points during the third quarter. Sidney Love had 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with a team-high six rebounds, but no other UTSA player scored more than four points. Coach Karen Aston emptied the bench in search of a spark, using 12 players for at least five minutes.

The Roadrunners finished the year 18-15, posting the program's highest win total since the 200809 season. That year was also the last time UTSA appeared in the postseason, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and 2008.

UTSA finished 10-8 in American Athletic Conference games during the program's first year in the league, earning the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.

Of seven Roadrunners who averaged at least 15 minutes per game this season, just two are listed as seniors: Jenkins and Judson product Kyra White, who served as UTSA'S primary point guard.
