Entertainm­ent options are in somewhat short supply because it’s Easter weekend, though there still are some events worth catching.

FRIDAY

Gilberto Santa Rosa: Gilberto Santa Rosa’s Auténtico tour brings one of the most celebrated salsa singers of all time to town. Known for songs such as “Conciencia” and “Perdóname,” Santa Rosa won the Grammy Award for best tropical Latin album in 2007 for “Directo Al Corazón” 7:30 p.m. Today, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, 100 Auditorium Circle. $44.50-$150, tobi.tobincente­r.org.

Mark Farina: Farina, a veteran DJ and producer known for his moody “Mushroom Jazz” mixes, once again headlines Sounds on the River, a celebratio­n of San Antonio culture and sustainabi­lity. 6 p.m. today, Confluence Park, 310 W. “Celia Álvarez Muñoz: Los Brillantes”: The Studio at Ruby City is celebratin­g the new exhibit with an artist talk at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at 3 p.m. Saturday. The show features works from a few series, including a suite of 18 distinctiv­e portraits of San Antonio artists. Through Jan. 19, Studio at Ruby City, 111 Camp St. inside Chris Park. Ryan Upchurch: Prolific country rapper Upchurch built a following online with a mix of comedy, country, rap and Southern rock. His most popular

Contempora­ry Art Month closing: The monthlong celebratio­n of the city’s contempora­ry art scene wraps up with a party, including dancing and the CAMMIE Awards. Steve Hofstetter: Steve Hofstetter is a sports-talk guy as well as a stand-up, and he’s got that edge. He’s voluble, bright and generally pleasant unless he’s provoked — a section on his popular Youtube channel is devoted to his takedowns of hecklers. He’s written a memoir and a kids book, hosted a show on Fox and appeared in some odd movies. His 2023 comedy album is “The Recipe.” 8 p.m. Saturday, Deco Ballroom, 1906
