C.W. Edens joined his Heavenly Father on April 7, 2024 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Ann Edens, his kids Deron and Stephanie, their spouses Angie and Jeffro, three grand kids; Jordan, Lauryn and Deacon and his sister Beverly Majors. He was a Southern Babtist preacher most of his life; surrenderi­ng to preach at the age of 16. Although he had many contributi­ons to people in churches and their communitie­s, he is best known and love for: •A smirk he tried to hide while pulling someone’s leg

•Creating and playing childhood games well into his later years

•His love of music singing and often times making up his own lyrics

•Photograph­y, bird watching, the stars and naming cloud formations

•Enjoying a good cup of coffee, pastries often homemade, and breakfast at Los Palapas

•Wrestling and trying out new moves on family, most times as a surprise attack

•Life lessons that were taught by example always

•His love, affection, and dedication to his grand kids

•His pride, support, and love for his kids

•His devotion to and love for his sweetheart Carol Ann until his last breath

•His love and faithfulne­ss to his God Please join us for his Celebratio­n of Life at VFW 8795 FM1560 San Antonio, TX 78254 on Friday April 12th 5PM10PM.

Visitation services at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel 1214 Mulberry Bandera, TX 78003 at 11am-1pm. Graveside services will be held at Center Point Cemetery Monday April 15th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, share a great cup of coffee, a pastry or taco and celebrate a new day with loved ones.
